Spicy Channa dal chutney
Today I'm going to post Spicy chaanna dal chutney with the request of my dear sister-in-law Julli.
- Oil – 2 tsp
- Chana dal – 3 tbsp
- Dry chillies – 6
- Tomato – 1 big or 100 gms
- Hing (asafoetida) – 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves – 10
- Water – 100 to 150 ml
- Salt – as per taste
- For tadka
- Oil – 1 tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves – few
- Hing (asafoetida) – a pinch
- Tadka
- Preheat the vessel with little oil, then add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, stir it for few minutes till it starts spluttering and the curry leaves are crispy.
- Now add the chutney paste and mix well, boil the chutney for 2mints on simmer and switch it off.
