Chicken Stew

The story begins when I read in VI th class.My mother was also working in Govt sector.One day Baba returned from office with high fever. After blood test,it was confirmed that baba was affected with chicken pox.As my mother was working lady and we have maid and baba's peons, but my two elder brothers and me always do our own work and also do some small household works also.
As Baba was on leave, after school, we ourselves served our snacks (prepared by maids), and after that I sit with baba and changed his bed sheets with new, spreading fresh neem leaves on his bed, give him coconut water etc... 21 days passed,,,,,, Baba recovered.. But as he knew cooking well, and very fond of foods,he wanted to eat mutton.. My mother was worried.But when Baba said he will eat only mutton stew, then my mother agreed(as stew has no spices and less oil to cook).But the problem is who will cook stew for Baba. My mother had very less knowledge on cooking...

So for the  I cooked Stew for baba but following his instructions carefully....and after one sip of clean and clear gravy of the Mutton stew,baba became very happy with my cooking...After that I never cooked stew, as baba himsself was good cook.His
hobby was cooking..

Now baba was no more to give me instructions... but i think its a legacy he gave me.So besides reading Books,  and playing sitar, I also developed the hobby of cooking following his policy "less oil and healthy but tasty dish".

My husband is now on Ketogenic diets.. So I read more about that diets,and prepare dishes concentrating on flavor and taste..After many years I prepared Chicken stew for him,as he is fond of chicken.So with less oil, following the basics of baba's stew, I prepared a fusion on my stew...My husband finished the whole bowl,but you Please write to me if u like my Chicken  stew,,,

500g Chicken
I red Onion,
1 big tomato
1 carrot(cut into long slice)
3-4 cloves of long sliced garlic
small piece of sliced ginger,
pinch of turmeric powder
pinch of black pepper
pinch of cumin seeds powder
1 small bunch of celery(opt)
1 tsp oil
salt to taste


Method
In pressure cooker Add 1 tsp oil,add sliced onion, sliced ginger, and garlic,tomato,
Then fry smoothly..a light aroma come from inside.. then add sliced carrot and washed chicken
and again stir..
Now add turmeric powder,pepper,and cumin seeds powder .
Again stir till u get the aroma of pepper,cumin seeds garlic, ginger and onion's aroma mixed with chicken and carrots, the add 2 cups of water.And wait for 3 whistle of cooker and lower the flame for another 5 min.And switch off gas. Your Chicken stew ready to serve...
But wait until whistle come down..
Though this recipe is for patients who are restricted to take oil and spices, but I vouched everyone likes the flavor and taste,
